In den nächsten Jahren bis 2031 müssen mindestens 15 bis maximal 17 Rettungswagen (RTW) der Sanität Basel ersetzt werden. Die Ersatzbeschaffung dieser RTW ist über diesen Zeitraum verteilt geplant. Das Ziel der Ausschreibung ist es, einen Anbieter zu finden, der sowohl elektrische als auch konventionell betriebene RTW liefern kann. Der ausgeschriebene Rahmenvertrag soll maximale Flexibilität sicherstellen, so dass je nach Technologiestand, Erfahrung und Möglichkeiten sowohl elektrische als auch konventionelle RTW beschafft werden können.
