2.1 Project title of the acquisition

Niger - Youth Vocational Skills Development GWANI Inception Phase : 15.04.2023 – 31.12.2023 (8.5 months) Phase 1 : 01.01.2024 – 31.12.2027 (4 years)

Subject and scope of the contract :  The general objective of the mandate is the conceptualisation and preparation of the preparatory phase (15.04.2023 - 31.12.2023) as well as the implementation of phase 1 of the programme (01.01.2024 - 31.12.2027). Implementation under the contract can start if the ProDoc and its annexes are conclusive and approved by the SDC. This includes the completion of a baseline study including a gender-specific evaluation of the baseline before the beginning of the activities.
The execution of the programme (01.01.2024 - 31.12.2027) will consist of implementing the programme along its various axes in an optimal manner in accordance with the planning approved by SDC (coordination, planning and operational, financial and risk management).
One of the major challenges will be to improve the vocational culture among young girls and boys, including those from vulnerable areas, enhance their integration by placing the private sector at the heart of the steering system.
