Subject and scope of the contract :  The Swiss Embassy (approximately 6’500m2) is centrally located in London and was completed in 1971. The property is in need of complete refurbishment and restructuring. A Swiss design team will have the lead for the design stages up to planning permit application. A local design team in London will be appointed to support the Swiss team and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Following the planning application, the local team will assume the design lead for the remainder of the project through completion and handover. The Swiss architects will maintain the design lead throughout. Based on preliminary estimates, the construction costs were calculated at GBP 40 million excl. VAT (excluding fees, ancillary costs, charges, etc.).

In accordance with Article 56 paragraph 1 of the Public Procurement Act (PPA), a written appeal against this decision can be lodged with the Federal Administrative Court, P.O. Box, 9023 St. Gallen, Switzerland, within 20 days of notification. Any appeal is to be submitted in duplicate and must include what is being sought, the grounds for appeal, evidence and the signature of the person lodging the appeal or his or her representative. A copy of this decision and available evidence must be included.
The provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) on legal holidays do not apply in accordance with Article 56 paragraph 2 of the PPA.
