2.4 Subject and scope of the contract

The operating consortium Libero S-POS (BLS Ltd., BLS Fernverkehr AG., Busland AG, BERN-MOBIL, Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn RBS, Busbetrieb Solothurn und Umgebung BSU, Verkehrsbetriebe Biel VB und Busbetrieb Grenchen Umgebung AG BGU) offer their customers self-service ticket sales via ticket vending machines.The first vending machine generation, including front-end and back-end software has reached the end of its life cycle. To ensure continued smooth operation, retrofitting or replacement of the current S-POS system (hardware and software) will be necessary at the end of 2025/2026.

The awarding body plans to publish the invitation to tender documents in German. It aims to clarify with this advance notice and RFI whether a need exists on the market for invitation to tender documents in other official languages (Art. 21 (2) VöB) and to achieve the objectives in the document to prepare the planned procurement as well as possible.

The awarding body plans to publish the invitation to tender documents in German. It aims to clarify with this advance notice and RFI whether a need exists on the market for invitation to tender doc-uments in other official languages (Art. 21 (2) VöB). Potential tenderers, who are interested in invitation to tender documents in another official lan-guage should indicate their interest in the planned public invitation to tender by 19.08.2022 and register the interest in invitation to tender documents in another language by e-mail to tabea.mueller2@bls.ch. Subject: "Advance notice and RFI 1232 NeBiC / company name". However, the draft agreement published as part of the invitation to tender will only be provided in German, since this will only be concluded in German and any contractual negotiations will also be conducted in German (procedural language). Potential tenderers, who nevertheless insist on a translation of the draft agreement, should communicate this in the same notification mentioned above.
