2.1 Project title of the acquisition

Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development Project (ST4SD)

Subject and scope of the contract :  Implement, manage and monitor the "Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development Project Vietnam”, which aims to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive tourism sector in Vietnam by supporting policy makers to foster sustainable tourism (ST) and create fora for public-private dialogue, establishing an executive hospitality training programme and promoting innovative concepts for businesses and destinations to strengthen sustainability. Concrete support will be provided through three components:
1) National and sub-national plans and policies include relevant actions, and decisions are taken and implemented to foster sustainable tourism development; 2) Vietnamese training institutions have been selected and strengthened to provide training and develop skills in sustainable tourism; and 3) tourism destinations and companies have become more sustainable in their operation and investments. The mandate covers a period of 4 years with an option for an additional phase of 4 more years.
